Capital Area Girls on the Run would like to thank Econ Wealth Management for their generous sponsorship of three girls for the fall 2012 season! We appreciate their support of the Girls on the Run mission! We are also thankful for their help with some technology questions — getting a database started to track all of our schools and contacts!

As part of Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends program, we will be selling 25% off coupons in the lobby of their Colonial Park store this Sunday, August 26th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The coupons are $5 each and can be used at any Boscov’s store on virtually all items (even items already on sale!) on Friends Helping Friends Day, which is October 16th. Best of all, Capital Area GOTR gets to keep 100% of the proceeds from the coupons we sell to help offer our program to even more local girls! We will continue to sell coupons through October 16th. Fall 2012 GOTR Registration Flier

Washington Heights Elementary School in Lemoyne is our 16th partner school for the fall, and also our first partner school in the West Shore School District. We would like to welcome Washington Heights and WSSD to GOTR!

Welcome to Iron Forge Educational Center, the first partner school in South Middleton School District. This team will serve 4th and 5th grade girls this fall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:00.

We want to welcome Northside Elementary (Mechanicsburg Area School District) to Captial Area Girls on the Run! The addition of Northside is an important milestone for our organization! It is the 14th school involved in the fall 2012 season, which officially doubles the count of participating schools from the spring. During the spring 2012 season, we served seven schools (approximately 100 girls). We hope to serve around 200 girls at the 14 schools this fall!
